Ação Educativa launches the collection “A ideologia do movimento Escola Sem Partido – 20 autores desmontam o discurso” (The ideology of the School With no Parties movement – 20 authors deconstruct its speech).
There are 18 articles, some already published in the mainstream media and others written especially for this edition. “Under various approaches, the articles assembled clearly expose the authoritarian nature of a movement that hides its own ideology in an attempt to silence divergent worldviews,” says Vera Masagão Ribeiro, PhD in Education from PUC-SP and executive coordinator of Ação Educativa while presenting the book.
Ação Educativa believes that the dissemination of information and the production of referenced and grounded knowledge are fundamental for the construction of a quality education that fosters the participation and democratic construction of schools and school systems. “Voices against the proposals of the School with No Parties are numerous among educators, intellectuals, journalists, parliamentarians, activists of social movements, citizens identified with democratic values, the rights of populations historically discriminated, with the central role of the school in forming critical individuals and with the principle of equality,” says Vera.
