In this sense, this document presents a contextualization about the formulation of the Sustainable Development Goals focusing on SDG 4 about education and traces a correlation with the National Education Plan (Plano Nacional de Educação), seeking to map Brazil’s participation in Agenda 2030 and the indicators defined for monitor them.
It also discusses the activities of civil society organizations, particularly through initiatives to pressure the Brazilian government to create institutions at the Executive and Legislative levels that will enable systematic, transparent and consistent follow-up on the actions taken by Brazil to compliance with the SDGs.
